The excavator-modified drilling rig has a drilling diameter of 42-110mm and is suitable for ordinary hardness stone layers. It achieves excellent results on common bluestone and limestone, with a drilling efficiency of 0.5-2 meters per minute. The drill arm track length is either 3 meters or 6 meters, and the drilling depth can reach 20 meters (achieved by changing rods). How can we reduce operating costs and extend service life during use?
The hydraulic assembly of the excavator-modified drilling rig provides the torque for the high-speed hydraulic motor, while the air compressor assembly is responsible for the main drilling operations, supplying the impact force of the impactor and completing slag removal. Due to the high requirements for the air compressor, a high-air-volume compressor may not be mountable on a small excavator and may need to be towed separately. It is recommended to modify an excavator with a low tonnage of 8 tons.
II. Appropriate Operating Load: The size and nature of the operating load of the excavator-modified drilling rig have a critical impact on the equipment’s wear process. Stable loads result in less wear, fewer failures, and a lower lifespan compared to dynamic loads. Therefore, first, ensure that the normal operating load does not exceed the maximum load the equipment can handle. Second, strive to maintain uniform load increases and decreases, keeping the equipment under relatively gentle load changes.
III. Proper Use of Lubricating Oil: Due to the precision coordination of the components in the excavator-modified hydraulic rock drilling rig, good lubrication can maintain normal working gaps and appropriate operating temperatures, thereby reducing wear on parts and minimizing equipment failures. Proper and effective lubrication is one of the useful measures to reduce equipment failures. Therefore, first, select the correct lubricating fluid. Second, frequently check the quantity and quality of the lubricating fluid.
IV. Timely Maintenance and Repair: Some faults in the excavator-modified drilling rig may have minimal impact on the equipment, while others can be more severe. Serious mechanical failures are often caused by smaller faults. Therefore, regardless of the scale of mechanical faults, they should be addressed promptly, and appropriate maintenance and repair work should be conducted.
V. Coordination of Technology and Organization:
